Paradoxically, an excess of pleasure leads to discomfort and dissatisfaction.
Our modern lives are filled with constant, easily accessible hits of dopamine—social media, shopping, cannabis, sugar, alcohol, pornography, and more. While indulging in these "fixes" may bring short-term pleasure, compulsive consumption often leaves us feeling disconnected, unfocused, and overwhelmed. And then we wonder “why can’t I seem to make any progress in my life?”
This January, I invite you to step back with intention in order to reconnect with what truly matters. By participating in the Dopamine Detox Challenge, you’ll give your brain the reset it craves to re-balance, while gaining the tools to build lasting balance and joy in your life.

How It Works:
When you join the Dopamine Detox Challenge, you’ll receive:
Guidance to Pick Your Detox Focus: Choose one dopamine-inducing habit to step away from for the month (e.g., cannabis, shopping, social media, alcohol).
Join the Kickoff Call: We’ll set intentions, introduce the concept of a dopamine detox, and build excitement for the journey ahead.
Participate Weekly: Attend live calls, connect with your group, and implement the weekly focus themes into your life.
Finish Strong: By the end of the challenge, you’ll feel refreshed, have a new perspective, and be ready to maintain balance in 2025.

Hi, I’m Lana Pribic—ICF-certified life coach, podcast host of Modern Psychedelics, and a passionate advocate for intentional living and personal transformation. As a coach with a background in deep consciousness work and guiding individuals through life-changing journeys, I specialize in helping people break free from limiting patterns so they can step into fulfilling and purpose-driven lives.

A dopamine detox is a practice where you step away from one habit or activity that floods your brain with dopamine, allowing your brain’s natural balance to reset.

Common habits include cannabis, social media, online shopping, sugar, or gaming. Choose a habit that feels meaningful to your journey.

This challenge is not suitable for individuals looking to “detox” from active and long-standing addictions. While I have received coach training through Being True to You on Addiction Recovery, this challenge is not designed to support people currently struggling with addiction.
Instead, it’s intended for those who want to take a break from habits that feel compulsive but manageable within this context.Please choose a habit that feels doable for you, such as social media, shopping, sugar, or cannabis (if it’s not an addiction). If you’re unsure whether this challenge is right for you, feel free to reach out with questions!

This challenge is about progress, not perfection. Our group and weekly calls will support you through any challenges that come up!

We highly encourage you to attend the live calls to fully experience the group energy, participate in discussions, and take advantage of hot seat coaching opportunities. However, we understand that life happens!
Don’t worry—all live calls will be recorded and shared with participants. You’ll have access to these recordings until the end of February 2025, so you can catch up on anything you miss and revisit key insights anytime.

I wanted to offer this challenge for free initially, but then realized that as humans we need to have some skin in the game in order to be accountable. I choose to offer a pay what you can model here that allows people to choose a price for them that feels accessible yet puts enough “skin in the game” to take this challenge seriously!
